La regla de oro: duerme cerca del tren
A Sant Boi se llega directo en los trenes de FGC de la línea Llobregat–Anoia, que salen de Plaça Espanya. Para Castelldefels y el resto de la costa sur, la línea de Rodalies R2 Sud. Cuanto más cerca estés de una de esas dos, menos tiempo perderás en transbordos.
01 Plaça Espanya y alrededores
Es la opción más cómoda si Sant Boi entra en tus planes: desde aquí sale el tren de FGC que para en Sant Boi. Además estás bien comunicado con el resto de la ciudad en metro.
02 Sants
La gran estación de Barcelona. Desde Sants tienes la R2 Sud hacia Castelldefels y la costa, y Plaça Espanya queda muy cerca. Buena base si quieres combinar ciudad, playa y Sant Boi.
03 El Delta del Llobregat
La zona entre Barcelona y el aeropuerto, con municipios como L'Hospitalet o El Prat. Útil si llegas o te vas en avión y quieres estar a un paso de Sant Boi y de la costa.
¿Y el centro histórico?
El Gòtic o el Born son preciosos, pero si tu plan incluye Sant Boi o Castelldefels, te tocará combinar metro y tren cada día. Si vas a salir mucho de la ciudad, compensa alojarte más al sur o al oeste.

The golden rule: stay near the train
Sant Boi is reached directly on FGC trains on the Llobregat–Anoia line, which leave from Plaça Espanya. For Castelldefels and the rest of the southern coast, take the Rodalies R2 Sud line. The closer you are to one of those two, the less time you'll spend changing trains.

The most convenient option if Sant Boi is in your plans: the FGC train that stops in Sant Boi leaves from here. You're also well connected to the rest of the city by metro.
02 Sants
Barcelona's main station. From Sants you have the R2 Sud to Castelldefels and the coast, and Plaça Espanya is very close. A good base if you want to combine city, beach and Sant Boi.
03 The Llobregat Delta
The area between Barcelona and the airport, with towns such as L'Hospitalet or El Prat. Handy if you're flying in or out and want to be a step away from Sant Boi and the coast.
What about the old town?
The Gothic Quarter and El Born are beautiful, but if your plan includes Sant Boi or Castelldefels you'll be combining metro and train every day. If you'll be leaving the city often, staying further south or west pays off.
