What to see in Sant Boi de Llobregat: a quick guide for a day trip
Sant Boi no sale en las postales de Barcelona, y precisamente por eso merece un día. Se recorre a pie, sin prisas y sin colas. Esta es la ruta que haríamos nosotros si vinieras a vernos.
01 Empieza arriba: la Muntanyeta
La Muntanya de Sant Ramon, la Muntanyeta para la gente de aquí, es el mejor punto de partida. Sube temprano, con el aire todavía fresco. Desde arriba se entiende Sant Boi de un vistazo: la ciudad, el río, el llano del delta y, a lo lejos, Barcelona. Lleva agua y calzado cómodo.
02 Baja al casco antiguo
Calles estrechas, plazas pequeñas y ese ritmo de pueblo que el centro todavía conserva. Es buen momento para un café y para perderse un rato sin mirar el móvil.
03 Las termas romanas
En pleno centro, uno de los rincones con más historia de Sant Boi. Es de esas visitas que sorprenden porque no te las esperas en una ciudad así. Antes de ir, consulta los horarios de visita en la web del Ayuntamiento.
04 Respira en el parque del pueblo
Un respiro verde para sentarse a la sombra, ver pasar a la gente del barrio y recargar piernas antes de seguir.
05 Termina en el parque de los patos
El favorito de las familias. Tranquilo, con agua y, como su nombre indica, con patos. Un buen sitio para cerrar la ruta con calma.
Y después, a la mesa
Después de la ruta toca sentarse. En Carrer Lluís Pascual Roca 38 te esperamos en Alma Ibérica con tapas ibéricas de verdad: jamón cortado a cuchillo, croquetas de jamón ibérico, baos y tablas para compartir. Echa un ojo a nuestra carta o reserva mesa si venís en grupo.
Sant Boi isn't on Barcelona's postcards, and that is exactly why it's worth a day. You can walk it all, with no rush and no queues. This is the route we'd take if you came to visit us.
01 Start high: the Muntanyeta
Sant Ramon hill, the "Muntanyeta" as locals call it, is the best place to begin. Go up early while the air is still cool. From the top you take in Sant Boi at a glance: the town, the river, the flat delta and, in the distance, Barcelona. Bring water and comfortable shoes.
02 Head down to the old town
Narrow streets, small squares and the village pace the centre still keeps. A good moment for a coffee and to wander for a while without looking at your phone.
03 The Roman baths
Right in the centre, one of the corners of Sant Boi with the most history. The kind of visit that surprises you because you don't expect it in a town like this. Check visiting hours on the Town Council website before you go.
04 Take a breather in the town park
A patch of green to sit in the shade, watch the neighbourhood go by and rest your legs before carrying on.
05 Finish at the duck park
A family favourite. Quiet, with water and, as the name suggests, ducks. A calm way to end the route.
And then, dinner
